Martin Venier- Manager, Fund Management

Martin is a Director of AusAssured and is responsible for the day to day management of the Fund Management business. Martin has over 25 years experience working for major local and international financial services organisations including Australian Secured Investments Limited, Citibank, Commonwealth Bank and ING Bank. Martin's previous responsibilities and experience include treasury risk and loan portfolio risk management, deposit taking, fund product development, IT, marketing, multi-media and business development. Before joining Calliva, Martin founded and was Managing Director, Australian Secured Investments Limited (AuSec), a debenture/bond issuing company. At AuSec, Martin placed great emphasis on corporate governance and aims to make AusAssured a leader in its field. Martin holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting), Master of Business (Finance) from the University of Technology Sydney and a Graduate Certificate in Change Management from the Australian Graduate School of Management. Martin is PS146 qualified.

Ashley Parkes - Manager Compliance Committee and Research

Ashley Parkes has worked in the financial services sector in a number of roles including management positions at the ANZ bank, as a senior financial advisor for an independently licensed financial services company and as a tax advisor and director of a privately owned accounting practice. Prior to his involvement in the financial services industry Ashley held a top secret security clearance with the Department of Defence in an operation environment requiring the highest levels of personal integrity. Ashley has a Bachelor of Commerce with a double major from the University of New England and a Graduate Diploma in Financial Management. Ashley has extensive experience in the analysis of fixed income securities for third party investors. His contribution is broad and leverages his ability to think strategically about investment allocation decisions while at the same time having a solid grasp of company and fund fundamental analysis.

Victoria Rati – Investment Consultant

Victoria joined the team in 2007. Her experience includes audit and insolvency (Deloittes in the UK), property research and consulting (Jones Lang Wootton), fixed income analysis and strategy (GIO), investment analysis and consulting to superannuation funds including the setting of overall strategy and fund research (Russell Investment Group). Her most recent experience was as Vice President and Manager of client reports and marketing documents at boutique fund manager, Lazard Asset Management Pacific Co. Victoria has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (Finance and Accounting majors), a Graduate Diploma from FINSIA and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Victoria is also current president of the CFA Society of Sydney. Her current role is as an external consultant to our investment committee.

Aya Christie - Global Distribution Consultant

Aya has extensive experience as a business developer whose specialty is property sales and business marketing. Aya was educated in Sydney and is now based in Japan. She regularly commutes between Japan, the Middle East, Europe and Australia in search of investment opportunities for AusAssured and assists with investment product marketing road shows. Aya recently got the rare privilege to become the exclusive distributor of Dubai properties in Japan for one of the main property management companies in Dubai. In addition, Aya manages an extensive private property portfolio that includes investments in many parts of the world. Her extensive connections in growth spots will assist AusAssured in finding favorable investment opportunities to which Australians would normally not have access.
